There are many facets to life that many of us don't know about. On my column I give my personal views from real life experiences, sound advice on daily obstacles, and I write out lessons I've learned on my personal journey.
Purpose is powerful because it's something God gives you to drive you from deep within. If Christ didn't exist then we would have no basis to establish purpose in the first place. When you know or at least have an idea of what your purpose may be it helps with daily living because it gives you something to strive towards. Certain people who don't pursue purpose usually tend to live mediocre lives and you can see the evidence from their daily actions and who they hang around.
Operating in purpose helps you to live a more fulfilled life because it eliminates most selfishness and takes the focus off of you. A lot of rich and poor people perish daily having gone an entire lifetime without sustained happiness or even knowing where their eternity lies. Don't allow and accept the adversaries negative thoughts or lies about how you have no purpose for life. Your adversary is most famous for being a deceiver and a consistent liar.
The most important variable when thinking about the reconditioning of your mind is to recognize what the flaws or deviance's are first. Things will start to become slightly clearer once you can actually confess and agree that there is specific change that is needed in your life. I had to cut off things that hindered me and isolate myself before I was able to receive all of the wisdom and knowledge from the Lord that I have now. Once I allowed the Holy Spirit to take control, things begin to change drastically and the Lord gave me a different perception or view on life and the people that get an opportunity to live it. So I know the process vividly! Reconditioning your mindset will take being intentional about putting fresh and new information into it. What I mean is to take control of the things you allow yourself to entertain and be influenced by such as what you watch before bed or indulge in on social media. These simple activities can adversely contaminate your vision on life and or create a perception of things that aren't really good for you. So recognize first that there is a clear change that is needed and then be bold in taking action.
It is very important to understand who you are as a individual and where you stand with Christ as so many issues and catastrophes are currently plaguing us as a nation. Evaluate your life and how you're currently living because we never know when our last day on this earth can be. Since we are in the last days according to the Bible, the adversary is out unleashing all the attacks that he can because he realizes now that his time is almost up to roam around this earth deceiving and destroying people who haven't accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. It is important to also note that while Jesus Christ loves everyone of us the same, we don't all have the same hedge of protection around us from the adversaries attacks. If you haven't accepted Jesus Christ into your heart and as your Lord and Savior then the adversary has a legal right to hinder and influence your life in whatever way he chooses. But on the flip side if you have accepted Jesus Christ and know that he is Lord then you are protected through his blood that was shed and also through your fervent prayers. Never underestimate the power of your prayers. When the enemy knows your prayers are powerful, he will try to make you feel as though your prayers are worthless and powerless. Keep pressing on and stay focused on what your purpose is in life!
Quite a few people in today's times tend to run away from taking accountability for their behaviors and mistakes. The quickest getaway for some is to intentionally and also unintentionally pass the blame in order to release the guiltiness that plagues them. But do you ever think about what could happen to the other person? What consequences they may face depending on the situation? As a society we have to get better at owning up to our mistakes and taking accountability for the things we do.
Over the last few years I have made many rough mistakes in life, my decision making, and the things I allowed myself to be influenced by. Nevertheless one thing that I have really come to realize as I've made great changes thus far in my life is that it takes true men and women to own up to their mistakes. People who have no moral guidelines or any sense of godly direction in life will almost always seek to hurt others for fulfillment and not take responsibilities for their actions. Proverbs 28:13 says, "People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy."
In order to maintain something that's essential like your focus and direction, you have to be very intentional with things each and everyday. Procrastination and laziness nowadays is so easy to consistently fall into if what you're seeking is not actually as important to you. So first and foremost make sure that the (positive) goals or aspirations you're pursuing actually mean something deeply to you and have a radical affect upon you as you think on them. If you have no passion or if it's not your purpose to do what you're doing then sooner or later you'll get weary and tire out because what you were doing was for someone else. There will always be a "why" attached to whatever you do and your answer to it should always inspire someone to keep pushing themselves! Never give up and never lose hope with your life or the goals you set because if it's your gift then it'll make room for you to elevate and succeed at it.
Everyone has had their own personal valley experiences whether you were aware enough at the time to realize it or not. Some experiences we go through happen for such a reason that they come upon us suddenly and without warning only for us to ultimately get the lesson out of it if we've gotten to the end without giving up on ourselves. More times than not as tribulations persist on for some of us we start to unknowingly allow the adversary to alter in the worst way our actions and our perspective on the reality of things we see. While pushing through these periods you have to stay true to yourself and allow the reconditioning of your mindset to stay in alignment with keeping positive moral values. No matter what you face their is always a multitude of people going through worser things that are beyond your reasoning. It's important to reflect and meditate daily on your progress so you don't lose focus on the lessons you've acquired and the faith you've grow in. John 16:33 states "I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
Too many people have been deceived by the adversary in thinking you will fail in your life's endeavors. Never let what others are doing in their lives and what opportunities may have passed them by cause you to put limits on what you can do. We are never limited as long as we keep Jesus at the forefront of our lives and allow him to guide us. No matter what circumstances you're in or whatever your age may be, always remember that your best days are ahead of you if you're intentional about that being your future. We weren't put here to be failures in life and that's one deception that has captivated this world. Always keep in mind that you are supposed to be thriving in whatever your God given passion or purpose in life looks to be. You cannot fail if you tell yourself that you won't!
Each and everyday more and more people move into new facets of their lives as they leave old things behind. Old things usually get left behind as you began to develop a keen sense of self and the need to mature in certain areas. You may also began to outgrow some friends as they may continue to hold firm to the things that you know for sure were holding you back and keeping you in a box. The Bible says there is a time and a season for everything happening in front of you. Everything happens for a reason and we must understand that trials and tribulations we sometimes face are apart of a season and should not give us reason to give up on life. Never let someone's influence or words affect you to a point where you lose all of your hope. Everyday has new opportunities and new hope for breakthrough!
More times than none if you're lacking energy during your daily walk of living then you're wasting quality time with people or habits that are geared more towards draining you. If you find yourself questioning your self worth or lacking self esteem within then it's because the people you're hanging around are breaking you down on the inside instead of building you up. Some of us find ourselves alone a lot of times and instead of working on developing our mental we will call it "being bored" "no one wants to talk to me" etc. Enjoy your time alone by reflecting, praying and doing things of Godly substance. You have to own your space and not let anyone of anything break down your barrier and use your energy up for their own self satisfaction. Evaluate yourself daily and understand the situations that you put yourself in or keep falling back into and determine whether it's helping you or hindering you. You have friends that are assets and liabilities and it's on you to determine who is who if you really want to move along and experience positive things in life.
For a while now I've noticed on social media that some people have been giving others the ultimate power to ruin their sanity. In today's times it's very easy for us to get caught up with the wrong influences and eventually not know what to do next. The people we are around and the conditions we are in have a big impact on how peaceful we are when situations come upon us. But always remember we have the biggest influence on ourselves because we have the power to control every decision we make and every situation we put ourselves into. Worrying about the next person's every move in life may in return affect you because at times you'll inadvertently lose some sense of self control. It seems odd that we most times complain about a lot of situations we are in and instead of focusing on changing them we'll put ourselves right back into them only to publicly complain more. This is one place our peace gets affected the most. When bad situations arise think to yourself "What am I doing here? And "Why am I here?". Eliminate some extra baggage that may be weighing you down and get back on the course you originally wanted for yourself. We each have so much to offer to this world but it takes small mental steps to fully begin the process.
Your actions have to prove that you have been grasping what you've been taught in life and by God's word. Anything less is a sign of regression!
